Oct 21. The Foundation organized a charity piano recital for young music scholar Grace Cheung, aiming to raise awareness about children's mental well-being and promote the upcoming ESG Teen Ambassador Programme. Grace showcased her immense talent by performing classical musical pieces composed by Beethoven, Liszt, etc.
The recital's theme, "mental de-carbonization," was to show a compelling parallel between the Earth's need to reduce carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and the necessity for our minds to rid of detrimental thoughts. We can achieve this through various actions, exercises, or parent-child activities. By either reducing negative impacts (footprints) or increasing positive impacts (handprints), we must ensure that these activities are sustainable and low-carbon.
This piano recital was the 1st part of the PhilanthroKids GivingTuesday 2023 celebration. In recognition of her remarkable efforts and valuable contribution to society, Foundation appointed Grace to be a PhilanthroKids GivingTuesday Ambassador. We would like to extend our sincere congratulations and offer our encouragement for her to continue serving the community with her outstanding talents. Lastly, Foundation would like to thank Piano Arts Service Ltd. and Fleur Bleue Jewellery for sponsoring the venue and the souvenir respectively.
