Jun 29. Partnering with Schneider Electric and Kerry Properties, the Foundation invited St. Mary's Canossian College students to visit Schneider Innovation Hub at Kerry Centre and participate in a challenging competition on sustainable ideas. After Hong Kong President Jonathan Chiu introduced Schneider Electric, 6 groups of students presented their innovative ideas to solve challenges relating to social impact, circularity, climate action and biodiversity. Panel of judges chose the winning presentations based on the criteria on innovation and creativity, presentation, concept and research. It was indeed difficult to choose when their ideas were original and creative.
After the competition, students were given a guided tour of the Schneider Innovation Hub, followed by a warm reception of snacks and beverages by Kerry Properties. Joseph Ip, Vice President, Asset Management introduced about the importance of sustainability to the company while Dr. William Yu, CEO of World Green Organization gave an engaging talk with the students on climate change and green building.
