2410/ Swire Coca Cola Museum and New Life Plastic Visit

Exciting day for our GSIS young ESG Teen Ambassadors! We had the incredible opportunity to visit Swire Coca-Cola HK, the world's largest beverage manufacturer, and explore their newly reopened museum. We were warmly welcomed by its senior management and guided by experienced staff who shared valuable insights into their sustainability commitments. Witnessing the bottled water production line was truly eye-opening.

To top it off, we celebrated with regular and diet beverages before going to visit the plastic bottle recycling facilities of New Life Plastics Ltd, a joint venture of Swire Coca-Cola HK. Using solar power as part of energy source, they’re doing incredible work processing recycled PET beverage bottles and HDPE personal care bottles.

During the workshop, these young talented students were all ears, learning how these efforts contribute to a sustainable circular economy from sustainability specialist Jennifer Cheng. Recycled PET (#rPET) can be transformed into material for bottles or clothing!

🌱 To champion sustainability, Child Psychoecology Foundation has created our black polo shirts using rPET sourced from 12 used plastic bottles! Thanks to CPF Committee Francis. This initiative aligns with our ESG Teen Ambassadors' slogan: "Sustainability is our Responsibility." Together, we’re making a positive impact on the environment!
